It's hard to believe we're down to our last 43 days or so of school for the 2018-2019 school year. In many ways, this year has flown by, and in other ways August seems like so long ago. As we look forward to these next two months, we start looking towards spring and summer plans for our homes, vacations, and for ourselves.
It's nice to see the sun out more, the weather warming up, and witnessing spring greens coming through the winter browns. Looking forward, we set continuous short and long term goals for ourselves; read more, practice our math skills in a variety of ways, continue experimenting and learning about our world, practice our writing skills, and working towards being our best selves.
Spring is a time for renewal, trying new things, and challenging ourselves to do our best. Let's work together with our students to help them see and reach these goals in themselves as they finish up their school year as First Graders.
I have been and continue to be so proud of the kids and how hard they work, how they have matured, and how far they have come in the past seven months. Let's keep it up, kids!
As we start back to school tomorrow, let's stay focused, help one another achieve success, stay positive, continue to practice our skills at school and home to help with growth, and challenge ourselves as we finish our reading, writing, math, social studies, and science lessons and units in these last weeks of the school year. We can do it!!!!!
