Happy Fall 2019!
The children had a wonderful time yesterday at Tanner's Orchard. Check out my class pictures and twitter page for pictures and videos of the kids in action.
We have been working on counting, addition, understanding number representation, writing words and sentences, practicing sounds and forming words, finishing up our Social Studies Unit 1 (we've learned about rules, laws, making good choices, being a good friend, being a responsible citizen, being honest, etc.), and reviewing what we've learned about shadows, the sun, and stars in Science. Students have been reviewing sight and trick words, they have been reading books and listening to me read them stories in class (we just finished Scooby Doo: The Case of the Lumberjack Ghost and just began a Judy Moody book), practicing our reading and writing skills during Centers, working on our Everyday Math lessons, and visited the Prize Patrol.
I have been gathering up their grades from the whole First Trimester to share with parents on Skyward and at Parent-Teacher Conferences in a couple weeks. Have a wonderful fall weekend! Mrs. Z
