How are you? I hope you have had a wonderful and relaxing summer break. Just to name a few of my activities: I have gotten to read, take trail walks with my two dogs, I have spent time with my husband, I have enjoyed painting and creating crafts, and Karl and I have been traveling through Ontario, Canada and the Upper Penninsula in Michigan and Wisconsin. All in all, it has been a peaceful, restful, quiet, and relaxing summer break.
I am looking forward to meeting all of my new students and their families next Thursday, August 8th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Central Primary School for "Drop Off Supply and Meet the Teacher Night." It will be a time for you and your children to drop off their school supplies, see our classroom, and get a chance to meet me before the kids begin school on Tuesday, August 13th.
To keep you posted, I will be writing weekly newsletters on this blog and sharing pictures and videos of the students to my private class Twitter page regularly this whole school year. This gives parents a chance to see what their children are up to at school on a weekly basis. If you are one of my students' parents and you are interested in seeing their pictures and videos, please click on my class Twitter page link at the top of this page and ask to follow me. Since it is a private account for my students' privacy, I will have to accept your request and then you can see your kids in action and having fun learning!
Have a wonderful last week or so of summer break. I'll see you soon! Take Care, Mrs. Julie Zimmermann
I hope you're all having a great summer break and getting in lots of playing, time outside, laughing, relaxing, being creative, reading, writing, and practicing your math skills. It's hard to believe we've been on summer break for a month already! WOW! Enjoy the rest of your break and I'll see you in August! :) Love, Mrs. Z
